Change Detection

How it works

With our extensive catalogue of geodata and access to the latest imagery through key global providers, ComputaMaps is uniquely positioned to offer this service. There are four primary steps:

1.  Creation of a building change detection map
Our GIS specialists apply a proprietary algorithm and image processing methodologies to generate a comparative change detection map based upon the latest available imagery.

2.  Creation of a land use/clutter change detection map
Buildings are one layer of the City Planner product line, but another consideration is vegetation. A separate map is generated for this layer which provides a critical input for RF planning tools and their related propagation models.

3.  Report generation
ComputaMaps specialists generate a report showing overlap, additions and deletions between the customer’s current database and our current vintage imagery. Once this report is delivered, decisions on whether to update some or all outstanding deficiencies are made.

4.  Update of the project
If ComputaMaps has all required updates in the existing catalogue, the delivery can be made very quickly. If needed, ComputaMaps will update its project and deliver the required elements to the customer.

The purpose of using RF planning tools to deploy new wireless networks is to prove the design prior to implementing it.
