The Region Planner is a medium resolution database that allows you to quickly visualize terrain and clutter over large areas or whole countries.
It consists of the following integrated layers: digital terrain model (DTM), clutter, and linear vectors.
Additional raster map or orthoimagery layers can also be included.

Region Planner databases are designed to be fully integrated with the Urban Planner databases and so form the base for subsequent higher resolution databases.
Region Planner products are supplied in all major RF planning formats.
All ComputaMaps data sets are delivered with projection and ellipsoid set to client requirements. Products derived from orthoimagery utilize Landsat 5 and 7, SPOT 4 and 5, ASTER and IRS sensors.
Terrain model (DTM/DEM)
- Resolution: 50 / 100 / 200m
- Derivation: SRTM; 1:50,000 to 1:200,000 scale topographic mapping
- RMS height accuracy: 10 – 40m (depending on data source and relief)
Clutter
- Resolution: 50 /100 / 200m
- Derivation: recent medium resolution satellite imagery
- Classes: Up to 17 classes
- Standard classes include: sea, inland water, open, grassland, cropland, woodland, forest, village, sub-urban, urban
Linear vectors
- Derivation: recent medium resolution satellite imagery
- Classes: 7
- Standard classes include: highways, main roads, secondary roads, railways, airports, inland water, coastlines
Orthoimagery (optional)
- Orthorectified satellite imagery
- Derivation: recent medium resolution satellite imagery
Raster map (optional)
- Seamless mosaic of scanned topographic maps
- Derivation: 1:50,000 to 1:200,000 mapping
